Kuwait has been exerting multi-faceted efforts to fight corruption, a senior official said Monday at the opening of Business Integrity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) meeting in Paris. Riyadh Al-Hajri, vice-president of Public Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), said establishment of Nazaha and launch of Kuwait’s anti-corruption strategy aimed at promoting integrity in Kuwait.
He said Nazaha guaranteed confidentiality of people reporting cases of corruption. Al-Hajri said Kuwait has other authorities were working hand-in-hand with Nazaha like the Capital Market Authority, Kuwait Director Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and the public-private partnership agency, in addition to civil society organizations. “The public sector in Kuwait believes in importance of dialogue and partnership between the public and private sectors,” he said. The two-day meeting discuss the building of Integrity in MENA through public-private dialogue.
