The Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK) – Senior showed its appreciation to Kuwait as the students enthusiastically participated in a special assembly at ICSK (Senior) grounds on 21 February, which was an endeavor by the students of classes 8A and 8C. The event marked the Hala February celebrations in Kuwait.
The assembly was hosted by Master Husain and Miss Disha. It began with the Islamic prayer and the prayer song by the school choir, Swaranjali, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. This was followed by hoisting of the Kuwaiti flag and the rendition of the Kuwait National Anthem, paying tribute to our second home. The students were updated about the happenings around the world with the news. Master Vignesh delivered a speech on the importance of National and liberation days.
This was succeeded by a very special program by the students which enchanted the audience. It included an Arabic conversation between Master Burhan, Miss Ayesha, Master Ali and Master Murtaza about the National and Liberation days of Kuwait. It was translated to English by Miss Nadia.
An impressive performance by the school band, a powerful procession and an amazing dance presentation by the students of classes 8A and 8C brought much excitement in the students. Dr. Sam T. Kuruvila, the Vice-Principal of the school addressed the gathering. He elaborated about the significance of the days and how proud we are of our second motherland. The assembly was concluded by the pledge and the rendition of the Indian National Anthem.
